Electoral College Reform
Oct. 20th, 2004 01:33 amOn the SJ Games MOO, it was proposed that electoral votes for each state be apportioned by House district (state winner getting the two Senate electoral vote, a la the Maine system). Polldata has the data necessary for the House districts for the last three elections:

Bush: 179 House, 36 Senate, 215 total
Clinton: 256 House, 64 Senate, (+3 DC) 323 total
1996
Clinton: 280 House, 64 Senate, (+3 DC) 347 total
Dole: 155 House, 36 Senate, 191 total
2000
Bush: 228 House, 60 Senate, 288 total
Gore: 207 House, 40 Senate, (+3 DC) 250 total
1992
