Ooh.  Discovered there're tricks you can play with the caps lock key to make it another alternate character key.  Created a new keyboard that moved the dead-key mappings for subscript and superscript numbers/operators (which were all on characters normally unaffected by capslock anyway) to capslock and caplsock+shift mappings.
