In the 7th Sea RPG, the island of Vendel is inhabited by a people culturally divided in twain, between the business-oriented modernizers who resemble the early modern Dutch and the traditionalists who resemble the medieval Vikings.  Depending on what they personally believe, even close family members can fall on opposite sides of this divide.

In The Simpsosns, the Van Houten clan is divided into bold, adventurous "Danish" half (like Milhouse's Uncle Norbert), and a . . . let's just say, less bold and adventurous Dutch half (exemplified by Milhouse's dad, Kirk, presumably Norbert's brother).
