Penguicon Books
Apr. 23rd, 2008 06:13 pmThe Troy Public Library, like most, gets rid of its older books after a while. It usually first tries to sell them through its used book shop. Then they get rid of them other ways -- among them, by setting boxes of the sci-fi books out at Penguicon for people to take for free. Among the books I acquired from the box this year was the sci-fi classic Again, Dangerous Visions, compiled by Harlan Ellison.
(I use the term "sci-fi" specifically because Harlan Ellison objects to it. I will, of course, graciously replace this with another term after The Last Dangerous Visions is published.)
